IV. Propagation Methods

It can be propagated by sowing. Choose autumn sowing, place one seed in each seedling tray, then avoid direct sunlight, keep the soil moist, and water using the soaking method.

It can also be propagated by cuttings. Take 5-centimeter long tender branches and insert them into the planting soil for moisture retention. After about two weeks, they will root and can be transplanted.

V. Cultivation Techniques

Potting Substrate

Loose, low-salt humus soil, 15-30% clay, 0-10% vermiculite (or sand), 1-1.5 kg compound fertilizer/square meter, 0-2.0 kg/square meter slow-release fertilizer, a small amount of iron and trace elements, pH value: 6.0-6.5.

Fertilization

Moderate fertilizer requirements. Starting two weeks after transplanting into flower pots, apply balanced compound fertilizer (150-200 mg nitrogen/L) and 2 kg/square meter slow-release fertilizer weekly.

Avoid excessive nitrogen fertilizer. If the pH value exceeds 6.0, iron deficiency may occur. In this case, apply iron chelate 1-2 times to supplement iron. To prevent magnesium deficiency, apply 0.025% Epsom salt.
