Rose tea is a potent health and beauty beverage with a very gentle medicinal nature. It can nourish the heart, liver, and blood vessels of the human body, relieve internal stress, and exert calming, soothing, and anti-depressant effects.
There are two ways to consume rose tea: soaking and boiling.
So, is it better to drink rose tea by soaking or boiling? How should rose tea be properly brewed? Let’s find out.
Firstly, rose tea is more suitable for brewing by soaking rather than boiling. During the processing of fresh roses, long-term low-temperature drying is implemented to prevent the loss of nutritional components.
If rose tea is boiled at high temperatures, its nutritive substances will be significantly decomposed as the temperature rises, resulting in a less nutritious beverage.
However, when rose tea is brewed with warm boiled water, its nutrients will not be destroyed, and it will have a better taste, with a rich and refreshing floral scent.
Various tea utensils can be used to brew rose tea, such as porcelain, ceramic, and glass, but it is recommended to use glass tea utensils. This is because for us, appreciation is an essential part of tea tasting.
The water used should be free of any strange tastes. Nowadays, the water in many places has the taste of bleaching powder and so on, so it is best to use mineral water, purified water, or spring water.
Don’t use excessively hot water to clean the rose petals. If too hot water is used, the flavor might be carried away, so it’s best to use cooler boiled water for cleaning.
After warming the cup, put a few roses in, then add 80-degree warm boiled water for brewing. This can be done 3-4 times repeatedly. When the water temperature drops to 60 degrees, add honey or rock sugar, dates, etc.
This can reduce the astringency of the rose and enhance the health benefits of the tea. However, remember not to add tea leaves, as the large amount of tannic acid in them can affect the health benefits of rose tea.

Although rose tea is a health elixir, it is not suitable for excessive consumption. Rose tea is warm in nature, so a cup a day is enough for the average person, and those with a hot physique should not drink it every day, as it can easily cause inflammation.
