The Armeniaca mume Sieb, belongs to the true plum series of the plum blossom family, characterized by its straight branches and distinct golden sprinkling. The blossoms of the Golden Sprinkled Apricot are either single, double, or multi-petaled.
Although primarily white, each flower is marked with red stripes or spots. At times, a few red petals might emerge from a bunch of white blossoms, or even an entire red blossom might appear on the tree.
Not only is the color of the Golden Sprinkled Apricot peculiar, but most of its flowers are also dense, and its compact branch structure makes it suitable for bonsai and cut flower arrangements, adding to its high ornamental value.

There are only about ten varieties of the golden sprinkled plum blossom.
The flowers are single, double, or multi-petaled, primarily white, but each white flower is marked with red stripes or spots. Occasionally, a few red petals might emerge from a bunch of white blossoms, or even an entire red blossom might appear on the tree.
Once these red blossoms appear, they don’t change and continue to bloom red, indicating a strong genetic predisposition for red flowers.
